Online Blackjack Bonuses: How They Work, What They Are Worth and When to Skip Them

The headline number on a welcome offer tells you almost nothing about what that offer is worth if blackjack is the only game you plan to play.

100 percent of a slot wager counts toward rollover
10 percent is the most common blackjack rate at U.S.-facing sites
250x effective rollover on a 25x offer at 10 percent contribution
200x effective requirement above which you should decline

The short version

  • Slots clear, blackjack crawls: slots almost always count 100 percent toward a wagering requirement. Blackjack usually counts 5 percent to 20 percent, and at many sites it counts 0 percent.
  • The real multiplier: a 25x rollover on a game that contributes 10 percent is really a 250x rollover. A 40x rollover at 5 percent is really an 800x rollover.
  • Live dealer is worst: live dealer blackjack is excluded from bonus clearing more often than any other game in the lobby.
  • Where the value is: the most valuable promotions for a blackjack player are the ones with no contribution math at all, meaning loss rebates, cashback, comp points, leaderboards and tournaments.
  • Declining is allowed: if you only play blackjack, declining the deposit match and playing with cash is often the correct decision. Your money stays withdrawable and you keep your low house edge.

Four legal U.S. casinos and what their bonuses do for blackjack

The top four brands from the regulated ranking further down this page, judged on the only question that matters at the tables.

Almost every online casino bonus you will see advertised was designed for slot players. Blackjack players are an afterthought, and the fine print proves it.

This page explains how blackjack is treated inside bonus terms at both state-regulated U.S. casinos and offshore sites, how to calculate what a bonus actually costs you to clear, which bonus types are genuinely useful at the tables, how blackjack tournaments work as a promotion, and how to claim an offer without voiding it. It also covers the question most bonus pages avoid: whether a blackjack-only player should take a bonus at all.

1

BetMGM

No-deposit credit, 10 percent blackjack

Live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. Virtual blackjack contributes 10 percent, which turns a 15x requirement into an effective 150x. Excellent casino, poor bonus vehicle.

Caesars Palace Online Casino

Reward Credits, match is slots-only

A $10 no-deposit casino bonus at 1x on select slots is free to claim. The 100 percent match up to $1,000 must be cleared on select slot titles, so blackjack cannot clear it at all.

3

FanDuel

1x lossback, no contribution math

Play It Again refunds first-day net losses up to $1,000 as casino bonus, and FanDuel advertises 1x playthrough on every casino promo. A rebate ignores contribution rates entirely.

DraftKings

Low playthrough on credit offers

Recent welcome offers center on Flex Spins, which deliver little to a table player. The historically low playthrough on credit-based offers is genuinely player-friendly when one is running.

HOUSE EDGE

Why blackjack is treated differently than every other game

Operators do not ban blackjack. They discount it, and the headline number never changes to tell you so.

The reason is house edge. A blackjack game with standard rules, played with correct basic strategy, gives the casino an edge of roughly 0.5 percent. A typical online slot holds 3 percent to 6 percent. If a casino let you clear a bonus at full value on blackjack, the expected cost of clearing would be so small that most of the bonus would survive the process, and the promotion would lose money on nearly every player who took it.

So operators do not ban blackjack outright. They discount it. Every dollar you wager at the blackjack table counts as a dime, or a nickel, or nothing at all, toward the requirement. The bonus is still advertised at the same headline number. Only the arithmetic underneath changes.

The one mechanism that decides everything

This single mechanism, called game weighting or contribution rate, is the most important thing a blackjack player needs to understand about casino bonuses. It is also the thing most often buried three clicks deep in a terms page.

THE ARITHMETIC

How game contribution works

A contribution rate is the percentage of each wager that counts toward your playthrough. This is where a headline number becomes worthless.

$100 a slot wager, and all $100 counts toward rollover
$10 what the same $100 counts as at the blackjack table
$5 what it counts as on single-deck blackjack
$0 what it counts as at a live dealer table

If blackjack contributes 10 percent and you bet $100 on a hand, $10 counts. The other $90 does not. Rates cluster into a few standard tiers across the industry.

Contribution rateTypical gamesWhat it means for a $100 blackjack bet
100 percentSlots, keno, scratch cards, board games, some virtual gamesNot applicable to blackjack
20 percentBlackjack at a minority of sites, video poker, some table games$20 counts
10 percentThe most common blackjack rate at U.S.-facing sites$10 counts
5 percentSingle-deck blackjack, roulette, several specialty tables$5 counts
0 percentLive dealer blackjack, craps, progressive jackpot games, some blackjack variantsNothing counts

Watch for variant-level rates

Contribution is often set per game title, not per category

Several offshore casinos rate standard blackjack at 10 percent and single-deck blackjack at 5 percent, because single-deck has the lowest house edge in the lobby. Some brands exclude specific tables entirely, including promotional blackjack tables used for tournaments. Do not assume the category rate applies to the table you sit at. Open the wagering contribution chart, find the exact game name and confirm.

Live dealer is usually the worst case

Assume zero until the terms say otherwise in writing

Live dealer blackjack sits at 0 percent at a large share of sites. At some, including Bovada, bonus funds cannot be used on live dealer tables at all, and live dealer wagers do not count toward rollover. Ignition’s terms state that live dealer and jackpot games contribute nothing. Everygame excludes blackjack, video poker and roulette from rollover entirely. If live dealer blackjack is the game you actually want to play, assume the bonus does not apply to it until the terms tell you otherwise in writing.

Side bets are their own question

Side bets such as 21+3, Perfect Pairs, Buster and the various progressive jackpot bets carry house edges many times higher than the base game, often 5 percent to 15 percent or more. Some casinos count them at the base blackjack rate, some exclude them, and some exclude the whole table when a progressive is attached because bonus funds are not permitted on jackpot games. Check before you assume a side bet is a cheap way to build turnover. It is not cheap.

RUN THE NUMBERS

Calculating your real wagering requirement

Two numbers set the requirement, and a third decides whether the offer is survivable.

1

Identify the base

A multiplier applies either to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus the bonus combined. This matters enormously. A 25x requirement on deposit plus bonus is roughly double the turnover of a 25x requirement on the bonus alone at the same match rate. As a general pattern, the regulated U.S. brands tend to apply the multiplier to the bonus amount, while the offshore brands in the Bovada, Ignition, Slots.lv and Cafe Casino family, along with Cherry Jackpot and Slots Ninja, apply it to deposit plus bonus. Confirm it for the specific offer, because it is the single easiest way to be off by a factor of two.

2

Apply the contribution rate

The formula is simple. Divide the requirement by the contribution rate to get your effective requirement. At 10 percent, divide by 0.10, which multiplies the requirement by 10. At 5 percent, multiply by 20. At 20 percent, multiply by 5.

3

Price the turnover

Once you know the total turnover required, the expected cost of producing it is that turnover multiplied by the house edge of the game you are playing. Compare that cost to the bonus. If the cost exceeds the bonus, the offer is negative expected value and you are paying the casino for the privilege of holding bonus money you may never convert.

The two formulas

Effective wagering requirement equals the stated multiplier divided by the blackjack contribution rate.

Expected cost to clear equals total required turnover multiplied by house edge.

Worked example one: a regulated 15x deposit match

You deposit $500 and receive a $500 bonus at 15x on the bonus amount. On qualifying slots that is $7,500 of turnover. If blackjack contributes 10 percent instead, the requirement becomes $75,000 in blackjack action. At a 0.5 percent house edge, the expected cost of producing that turnover is about $375 against a $500 bonus. You have turned a $500 bonus into roughly $125 of theoretical value in exchange for playing 15 times more hands than you intended, and only if you never make a strategy error and never breach a max bet rule.

Now the more common case. At Caesars Palace Online Casino, the deposit match must be cleared on select slot games, so blackjack does not clear it at all. One published test of the offer measured the effective playthrough on blackjack at 75x versus 15x on slots. The bonus is not a blackjack bonus in any meaningful sense.

Worked example two: an offshore 25x on deposit plus bonus

You deposit $1,000 at Bovada and take the 100 percent match for $1,000 in bonus funds. The 25x applies to deposit plus bonus, so the base is $2,000 and the slot requirement is $50,000. Bovada’s published chart puts blackjack at 10 percent, which makes the blackjack requirement $500,000 in turnover. At a 0.5 percent edge, expected cost is about $2,500 against a $1,000 bonus. The offer is deeply negative for a blackjack player.

The same site’s single-deck tables often contribute 5 percent, doubling the turnover again to $1 million, though single-deck rules can push the house edge low enough that the arithmetic gets closer. That is a math exercise, not a plan. A million dollars of hand-by-hand turnover at $25 per hand is 40,000 hands.

Worked example three: a 40x offshore package

A $200 deposit on a 400 percent match gives you $800 in bonus, $1,000 combined, at 40x on deposit plus bonus. That is $40,000 on slots. At 20 percent blackjack contribution it is $200,000. At 5 percent it is $800,000. Many of these offers are also slots-only, which makes the calculation academic.

$75,000 blackjack turnover to clear a 15x match on a $500 bonus
$500,000 blackjack turnover on a 25x offshore match at 10 percent
$800,000 blackjack turnover on a 40x package at 5 percent
40,000 hands at $25 each to produce $1 million of turnover
THE HONEST ANSWER

Should a blackjack player take a bonus at all?

Often, no. This is the honest answer, and it is the one most bonus pages will not give you.

The case for declining the match

  • Your money stays yours. At many casinos an unmet rollover locks your deposit as well as the bonus. Requesting a withdrawal before clearing typically forfeits the bonus and can forfeit associated winnings.
  • You keep your edge. Blackjack’s low house edge is the whole reason to play it. A bonus that forces 10 to 20 times more turnover destroys that advantage even though the per-hand edge never changes.
  • You avoid the trip hazards. Max bet limits, excluded variants, expiry windows and irregular play clauses are all ways to lose winnings you legitimately earned. None of them can hurt you if there is no active bonus.
  • The good promotions do not require it. Cashback, loss rebates, comp points, leaderboards and tournaments all work while you play with cash.

The case for taking one

  • It is a loss rebate with 1x playthrough
  • It is genuine cashback with no rollover
  • Blackjack contributes 20 percent and the multiplier is low
  • The offer is a dedicated table games or card games bonus
  • You were going to play slots as well anyway

A useful rule of thumb

If the effective blackjack requirement is above 200x the bonus, decline it. Below that, run the numbers.

RANKED FOR THE TABLES

Bonus types ranked by how useful they actually are for blackjack

Twelve promotional formats, ordered from the ones that ignore contribution math entirely to the ones that have nothing to do with you.

1. Loss rebates and lossback offers

A lossback refunds a percentage of your net losses over a defined window, usually your first 24 hours, as bonus credit. Because it pays out on losses that already happened, contribution rates never enter the calculation. The only number that matters is the playthrough on the credit itself, which is frequently 1x.

OperatorLossback offerPlaythrough
FanDuel CasinoPlay It Again refunds first-day net losses up to $1,000. FanDuel advertises 1x playthrough on every casino promo1x
Hard Rock BetA comparable lossback up to $1,0001x
BetRiversRefunds 100 percent of net losses up to $500 in the first 24 hours in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia1x
BetParxHas run a first-day rebate of 100 percent of net losses up to $1,0005x on the credit

Verify one line before you sit down

Several lossback offers specify net losses on slot play. If the terms say slots, blackjack losses will not generate the rebate. Read that line before you sit down.

2. Cashback

Real cashback returns a stated share of net losses over a day, week or month, usually with no wagering attached or a token 1x to 5x. It is the only bonus structure that suits a blackjack player natively, because the casino is paying you after the fact rather than gating a withdrawal behind turnover.

Be careful with the label. Some sites advertise a cashback bonus and then attach a 40x playthrough to it, which makes it a reload bonus wearing a cashback name. Slots Ninja is one example of that pattern. Check the playthrough before you value the offer.

3. Comp points, loyalty tiers and VIP rebates

Loyalty points accrue on wagers regardless of bonus status, which makes them the quietest reliable value in the market for a table player. The catch is that table games usually earn at a much lower rate.

ProgramHow table play earns
Caesars Rewards1 Reward Credit per $25 wagered on table games versus 1 Reward Credit per $5 of slot coin-in, a five-to-one difference
FanDuel Rewards ClubWeekly bonus back at 5 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent and up to 25 percent by tier
Red Dog comp pointsConverts at $1 per 100 points with no wagering requirement attached

If you play blackjack regularly and at volume, the loyalty program is likely worth more to you over a year than any welcome bonus.

4. Dedicated table games and card games bonuses

A small number of sites offer a separate, less-advertised bonus specifically for table games. These are the only match offers built for you. Wild Casino and Super Slots have run a table games welcome bonus of 100 percent up to $1,000 with an 80x playthrough, alongside a video poker bonus at 60x. Roaring 21 advertises a separate table games bonus of up to $1,000 next to its slots package. Red Dog runs a card-games-only bonus, and its general terms rate card games including blackjack at 20 percent. Cherry Jackpot and Slots Ninja both exclude blackjack from their marketed headline matches, while their smaller 100 percent match offers are the ones blackjack can wager toward.

Compare effective numbers, not headline ones

An 80x table games bonus is still a heavy lift. But 80x at full contribution is far better than 25x at 5 percent contribution, which is 500x.

5. Blackjack tournaments

Covered in full in its own section below.

6. Live dealer leaderboards

Leaderboard promotions rank players by points earned during a set window and pay the top finishers in cash or bonus credit. They are attractive for blackjack because entry usually requires nothing but real-money play at an eligible table, and prizes frequently arrive with 1x or zero rollover.

Hard Rock Bet ran a $5,000 live dealer blackjack leaderboard for Michigan players in which entry required launching an eligible Playtech live blackjack table and opting in, with points awarded on the win-to-bet ratio of each winning hand. A $5 wager returning $10 scored 200 points, while a $5 wager returning $12.50 on a natural scored 250. Wild Casino and Super Slots run a Tuesday Cash Race paying the top 250 players in real cash with no additional wagering requirement and no opt-in needed.

Read the scoring formula. Ratio-based scoring rewards hitting naturals and winning doubles, which slightly favors correct basic strategy. Volume-based scoring rewards raw turnover, which mostly favors bankroll.

7. Side bet progressive jackpots

Several offshore sites attach a progressive to their live blackjack tables through a $1 side bet. Ignition offers a 777 progressive on selected Dynamite Interactive live tables. Wild Casino runs the Wild Diamond 7s progressive on Visionary iGaming blackjack tables, triggered on a 7-7-7 hand where the dealer pushes, and only the front player at the table is eligible.

Treat these as a lottery ticket bolted onto a low-edge game. The side bet has a high house edge on its own, and progressive games are commonly excluded from bonus play entirely.

8. Reload bonuses

Reloads are deposit matches for existing players, usually smaller and sometimes with lower rollover than the welcome offer. Super Slots has run Tuesday reloads at 25 percent up to $250 or 50 percent up to $250 depending on deposit size. Roaring 21 and its sister brands run daily reloads at 40x playthrough. The same contribution math applies, so a reload is only interesting for a blackjack player if blackjack qualifies and the multiplier is genuinely low.

9. Deposit match welcome bonuses

The largest headline numbers in the market, and generally the least useful offers for a blackjack player. Most are slots-only, and the ones that permit blackjack discount it to the point where the effective requirement runs into the hundreds of times the bonus.

10. No-deposit bonuses and sign-up credits

Free money is free money, and no-deposit offers usually carry low playthrough. Caesars issues a $10 no-deposit credit at 1x on select slots. BetMGM has run a $25 sign-up bonus, $50 plus 50 spins in West Virginia. These are worth claiming even if you never plan to spin a reel, because the cost of claiming them is zero. Just do not expect to clear them at the blackjack table.

11. Refer-a-friend

Referral bonuses pay you for bringing in another player and typically carry ordinary playthrough on the credited amount. Cafe Casino’s referral offer is among the larger ones in the offshore market at up to $500. Love2Play pays a 200 percent referral bonus up to $100 on referred deposits of $50 or more.

12. Free spins and bonus spins

These have no application to blackjack whatsoever. Spins are locked to specified slot titles, often with their own separate playthrough on winnings, and frequently with a cap on what those winnings can be worth. Wild Casino’s 250-spin welcome offer caps combined winnings at $100 across all 250 spins. Treat a spins package as zero value when you are comparing offers as a table player.

TOURNAMENTS

Blackjack tournaments as a bonus

The one promotional format where blackjack is the point rather than the exception.

Instead of racing a rollover, you are competing against other players for a share of a prize pool.

How the formats work

01

Freeroll

No entry fee. Prize pools are smaller and the fields are large, but the downside is zero. Often used as a sign-up perk or a loyalty-tier reward.

02

Buy-in

An entry fee funds the prize pool. Fields are smaller and more skilled, and pools are larger.

03

Rebuy and add-on

You can purchase additional tournament chips after busting or during a defined rebuy period. Rebuys are an additional cost, so set a cap before you start.

04

Freezeout

One stack, no rebuys.

05

Elimination

The lowest chip counts are removed after each round.

06

Timed or accumulation

Build the largest chip total within a fixed window or a fixed number of hands. A live leaderboard shows standings.

07

Sit-and-go

Starts as soon as the required number of players registers, commonly six.

Why tournament strategy is not regular strategy

In a cash game you are only trying to beat the dealer. In a tournament you are trying to finish with more chips than the other players, which makes bet sizing and position at the table more important than any individual hand decision. Trailing near the end of a round means betting big; leading means matching or shadowing the bets behind you. Tournament chips are scoring units and cannot be cashed at the cage. Your prize comes from the payout structure.

What to check before entering

  • Buy-in and rebuy cost, and the maximum number of rebuys permitted
  • Guaranteed prize pool versus a pool that scales with entrants
  • Number of paid positions, since a top-50 payout structure is a very different proposition from a winner-take-all
  • Starting chip stack and the number of hands or the time limit
  • Table minimums and maximums, which constrain your ability to make a late push
  • Whether prizes pay as cash or as bonus credit with its own rollover
  • Whether the tournament tables count toward any active bonus, since promotional blackjack tables are explicitly excluded from rollover at some sites, BetUS among them

Several offshore operators run tournaments continuously. Wild Casino and its sister sites advertise daily blackjack, slots and roulette tournaments with free entry, up to 350 free tournament chips, $5 unlimited rebuys and a stated $1 million in monthly prizes across the network. Super Slots runs recurring blackjack tournaments with leaderboard prizes.

A caution on using tournaments to beat rollover

Some terms explicitly forbid this

BetUS states that players found using casino tournaments to circumvent rollover will be barred from tournament play. Enter tournaments because you want to play them, not as a workaround.

THE TRIP HAZARDS

Bonus terms that void winnings

Most denied withdrawals are not the result of a rogue casino. They are the result of a rule the player did not read.

Maximum bet while a bonus is active

One hand over the cap can void everything

The most common cause of voided winnings. Exceed the cap even once, on one hand, and the operator can void the bonus and everything derived from it. Red Dog sets the limit at $10 per round and states plainly that wagers above $10 void all winnings. Cafe Casino has been reported at a $10 cap. Slots.lv sets the cap as a percentage, at 20 percent of the deposited amount per wager.

Note what this does to a blackjack player specifically. If your effective requirement is $200,000 in turnover and you are capped at $10 a hand, you are looking at 20,000 hands. Doubling and splitting can also push a hand’s total exposure past the cap, which some systems flag and some do not. Set your bet size below the limit and leave it there.

Game exclusions

Playing an excluded game while a bonus is active can void winnings even if you were not trying to clear anything. Red Dog’s terms state that playing games not included in the promotion before completing wagering results in winnings being voided. Bovada does not permit bonus funds on live dealer at all.

Time limits

The window ranges enormously. A short window plus a low contribution rate is a mathematically unclearable combination for a table player.

OperatorBonus window
CaesarsSeven days
BetMGMHas offered 14 days
BetRiversHas offered up to 30 days
Borgata30 days on the slots match
Bovada and IgnitionSix months on the casino portion
BetUSCasino bonus funds have expired 14 days from credit

Bonus-only versus deposit plus bonus

Already covered above, and worth repeating because it silently doubles the requirement.

Maximum cashout caps

Many offshore offers cap what you can withdraw from bonus winnings. Red Dog caps payout at 30 times the deposit, so a $100 deposit caps a bonus-funded cashout at $3,000. Several ESG-family promotions carry caps as low as $100 or $1,000. Cherry Jackpot’s welcome bonus has been advertised without a cashout cap, which is unusual and worth noting. A cap turns a large advertised bonus into a small maximum outcome.

Irregular play and bonus abuse clauses

This is the broadest and vaguest category, and blackjack players are more exposed to it than slot players because low-variance and hedged play looks like advantage play to an automated risk system.

Slots.lv lists prohibited play as including low margin betting, equal betting, zero risk bets and hedge betting. Love2Play’s terms describe irregular play as including cutting your wager by 50 percent or more after a win, wagering more than 25 percent of your entire bankroll on a single game, and dramatically changing your playing patterns while a bonus is active. BetUS voids both sides of a wager if action is placed on both sides of an event. BetOnline reserves the right to deny bonuses and bonus winnings if management determines a player is non-recreational or part of a syndicate.

The practical guidance is boring and effective

Pick a bet size, keep it consistent, play one game, use correct basic strategy and do not spike your stake when the bonus balance is at risk.

Card counting and account limitation

Counting does not work against an RNG blackjack game, which reshuffles every hand. In live dealer formats, shoe penetration and frequent shuffling make it impractical, and operators reserve the right to limit or close accounts they classify as non-recreational. Skill-based play at the tables is not itself a bonus violation at most sites, but it will attract review if it coincides with bonus activity.

TEN STEPS

How to claim a blackjack bonus without losing it

If you decide an offer is worth taking, this is the order of operations that keeps it intact.

1

Read the wagering contribution chart first, not the promo banner

Find the blackjack line and the live dealer line. If blackjack is 0 percent or the offer is slots-only, you have your answer before you deposit.

2

Confirm the base

Bonus only, or deposit plus bonus. Multiply accordingly.

3

Calculate the effective requirement and the expected cost

Requirement divided by contribution rate, then multiplied by house edge. Compare to the bonus.

4

Check the deposit method

Match rates and rollover often differ between card and crypto. At Bovada and Ignition the crypto tiers are larger. Some methods, including certain vouchers and peer-to-peer transfers, void bonus eligibility entirely.

5

Enter the code before confirming the deposit

Codes cannot usually be applied retroactively. BetUS requires bonuses to be claimed on the day of the qualifying deposit and does not issue them after the fact.

6

Opt in where required

Leaderboards and lossback offers frequently require an explicit opt-in. Missing it forfeits the promotion even if you met every other condition.

7

Complete identity verification before you play

Doing KYC up front removes the most common source of withdrawal delay later.

8

Set your bet size below the max bet cap and do not change it

One hand above the cap can void the bonus and every dollar derived from it.

9

Track your progress

Most cashiers show a playthrough progress bar with the remaining amount and where it must be wagered. Check it after your first session to confirm the blackjack table you chose is actually counting.

10

Do not request a withdrawal mid-rollover

At most sites this forfeits the bonus and any winnings attached to it.

Get the account right before the bonus clock starts

Verification, payment choice and account hygiene decide whether a cleared bonus actually reaches your bank.

TWO MARKETS

Legal U.S. casinos versus offshore casinos: what the difference means for bonuses

Bigger headline numbers offshore, and no regulator to appeal to when a bonus dispute goes against you.

Real-money online casino play is legal and regulated in a short list of states. As of 2026 those markets are New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island, with Maine having legalized but not yet fully launched. There is no federal framework. Legality is decided state by state, and geolocation must confirm you are physically inside an eligible state before a real-money wager is accepted. Nevada permits online poker but not online casino games.

State-regulated casinos

  • Bonuses tend to be smaller in headline value, shorter in duration and stricter about eligible games
  • They come with a regulator behind them
  • If a bonus dispute goes badly, you can file a complaint with the state gaming authority
  • The operator’s license depends on how it handles that complaint

Offshore casinos

  • Licensed in jurisdictions such as Curacao, Anjouan and Panama, not by any U.S. state
  • They accept U.S. players, but no state regulator supervises their bonus terms or adjudicates disputes
  • That is the tradeoff behind the much larger headline offers and the much higher rollover multipliers
  • Terms are more likely to include maximum cashout caps, broad discretionary clauses, and rollover multipliers of 35x to 60x applied to deposit plus bonus
  • Recourse if a payout is denied is limited to the operator’s own complaints process
REGULATED MARKET

Top 15 legal U.S. online casinos: bonus terms for blackjack players

Offers below vary by state and change often. Verify current terms on the operator’s promotions page before depositing.

Best no-deposit credit in the regulated market, worst match arithmetic

1. BetMGM Casino

Regulated New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia

The welcome package pairs a no-deposit sign-up bonus, reported at $25 in most states and $50 plus 50 spins in West Virginia, with a 100 percent deposit match up to $1,000, rising to $2,500 in West Virginia. BetMGM has published contribution rates of 100 percent for slots, jackpot slots, scratch cards and virtual games, 20 percent for roulette, baccarat, craps, video poker and live dealer, and 10 percent for virtual blackjack. That last figure turns a 15x requirement into an effective 150x. Deep game library, strong MGM Rewards tie-in, frequent leaderboards and free spins promos.

Blackjack verdict: excellent casino, poor bonus vehicle. Take the no-deposit credit, be skeptical of the match.

Best for: the no-deposit credit and MGM Rewards. BetMGM Blackjack Review Visit BetMGM

2. Caesars Palace Online Casino

Regulated Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia

Three-part welcome offer: a $10 no-deposit casino bonus at 1x on select slots, a 100 percent deposit match up to $1,000 at 15x on select slots within seven days, and 2,500 Reward Credits after $25 of wagering. The deposit match must be cleared on select slot titles, so blackjack cannot clear it. One published test measured the effective blackjack playthrough at 75x. Caesars Rewards is the standout asset, though table games earn 1 Reward Credit per $25 wagered against 1 per $5 of slot coin-in.

Blackjack verdict: claim the $10 and the Reward Credits, skip the match, play blackjack with cash and bank the loyalty currency.

Best for: Reward Credits and the $10 no-deposit credit. Caesars Blackjack Review Visit Caesars

3. FanDuel Casino

Regulated New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia

Play It Again refunds first-day net losses up to $1,000 as casino bonus, and FanDuel advertises 1x playthrough on every casino promo. Newer accounts also receive bonus spins. The Rewards Club loyalty program pays weekly bonus back at 5 percent, 10 percent, 15 percent and up to 25 percent by tier, plus reward boxes and birthday bonuses.

Blackjack verdict: structurally the most blackjack-friendly bonus model in the regulated market, because a loss rebate ignores contribution rates entirely. Confirm whether the rebate counts table game losses or slot losses only.

Best for: a 1x lossback that ignores contribution rates. FanDuel Blackjack Review Visit FanDuel

4. DraftKings Casino

Regulated Legal U.S. markets

Welcome offers have centered on Flex Spins, most recently 1,000 spins issued as 50 per day over 20 days on select games, unlocked by a $5 qualifying wager, with spins non-withdrawable and expiring 24 hours after selection. Earlier offers paired a $5 wager with $50 in casino credits at 1x. Low playthrough is the brand’s strength.

Blackjack verdict: the spins structure delivers little to a table player, but the historically low playthrough on credit-based offers is genuinely player-friendly when one is running.

Best for: low playthrough when a credit offer is running. DraftKings Blackjack Review Visit DraftKings

5. BetRivers Casino

Regulated Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia

The offer differs by state: a 100 percent refund of net losses up to $500 during the first 24 hours in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia, and a traditional deposit match in Pennsylvania where a $25 deposit qualifies for up to $250. All versions carry a 1x wagering requirement, and BetRivers gives up to 30 days, one of the longer windows among regulated brands. iRush Rewards is accessible and generates ongoing bonuses.

Blackjack verdict: the lossback plus 1x plus a long window is about as clean as regulated bonuses get. Smaller headline value than competitors, which is the tradeoff.

Best for: the simplest terms in the regulated market. BetRivers Blackjack Review Visit BetRivers

6. Hard Rock Bet

Regulated New Jersey and Michigan, with additional markets

The welcome offer combines 500 bonus spins on Cash Eruption with up to $1,000 in lossback based on net losses in the first 24 hours after a $10 deposit, carrying a 1x wagering requirement. Hard Rock runs a packed promotional calendar that includes live dealer blackjack leaderboards, such as a $5,000 Michigan competition on Playtech live tables scored by win-to-bet ratio. The Unity loyalty program earns on table play.

Blackjack verdict: one of the few regulated operators actively promoting blackjack itself. Note the lossback has been specified on slot play, so read the current terms.

Best for: live dealer blackjack leaderboards. Hard Rock Bet Blackjack Review Visit Hard Rock Bet

7. Borgata Casino

Regulated New Jersey, Pennsylvania

New players get a 100 percent deposit match up to $500 on a qualifying deposit of $10 or more, with a 15x wagering requirement limited to slots and a 30-day window, plus a spin wheel over eight days. For existing players there is a $1,000 Free Wheel, a Lucky Rush leaderboard with $100,000 in prizes and weekly cashback, with a 1x wagering requirement on bonus dollar rewards. Over 5,000 games.

Blackjack verdict: the welcome match is slots-only and irrelevant to you. The weekly cashback and the 1x bonus dollar rewards are where the value sits.

Best for: weekly cashback and 1x bonus dollar rewards. Borgata Blackjack Review Visit Borgata

8. Golden Nugget Casino

Regulated New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan

A two-part welcome built around daily Flex Spins, most recently 500 spins including 250 Lightning Link spins, paired with a first-day lossback. No promo code required on most partner paths. Long-standing brand with one of the deeper table game lobbies in the regulated market.

Blackjack verdict: ignore the spins, evaluate the lossback. Confirm whether table game losses qualify.

Best for: the first-day lossback and a deep table lobby. Golden Nugget Blackjack Review Visit Golden Nugget

9. Fanatics Casino

Regulated Legal U.S. markets

Two welcome paths, which is unusual and useful. One path gives 1,000 bonus spins for a $10 deposit and wager, issued as 100 per day over 10 days and tied to a specific jackpot slot. The other has been advertised as up to $1,000 back in casino credit. FanCash is earned across the wider Fanatics ecosystem.

Blackjack verdict: the spins path is worthless at the tables. If the credit-back path is live in your state, that is the one to look at.

Best for: the casino credit path and FanCash. Fanatics Blackjack Review Visit Fanatics

10. bet365 Casino

Regulated New Jersey and Pennsylvania, among others

The deposit match has carried a 25x wagering requirement, among the highest playthrough figures in the Pennsylvania market according to state-focused trackers, alongside a bonus spins component. Strong global brand with a well-built live dealer suite.

Blackjack verdict: a 25x multiplier on a slot-weighted offer is a hard pass for a table player. The live dealer product is good. Play it with cash.

Best for: the live dealer suite, played with cash. bet365 Blackjack Review Visit bet365

11. Bally Casino

Regulated Pennsylvania, New Jersey

Bally has promoted the lowest playthrough structure in the Pennsylvania market at 0x on its qualifying offer, with eligibility tied to net losses over a set period rather than a traditional match.

Blackjack verdict: a 0x structure is the best possible outcome for a blackjack player, since there is nothing to clear. The only question is whether blackjack play generates the qualifying net loss. Read that clause carefully.

Best for: a 0x playthrough structure with nothing to clear. Bally Casino Blackjack Review

12. BetParx

Regulated Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan

Has run a first-day loss rebate returning 100 percent of net losses within the first 24 hours as bonus funds, capped at $1,000, with no minimum deposit or wagering amount required to trigger it and a 5x wagering requirement on the resulting bonus.

Blackjack verdict: a rebate with no qualifying wager requirement is friendly, but the 5x on the credit still runs through the standard contribution table, so the credit itself is best spent on eligible games.

Best for: a rebate with no qualifying wager needed. BetParx Blackjack Review

13. PlayStar Casino

Regulated New Jersey, Pennsylvania

A smaller boutique operator with a deposit match plus spins structure and a level-up rewards system. The game library is more compact than the major brands, with a modest table selection.

Blackjack verdict: the welcome offer is slot-built like most of the market. Verify the current playthrough and eligible games, since terms at smaller operators change more frequently than at the majors.

Best for: the level-up rewards system. PlayStar Blackjack Review

14. Party Casino

Regulated New Jersey

Part of the same operating family as BetMGM and Borgata, and it shares much of the same platform, game library and contribution logic. Deposit match welcome offer with slot-focused playthrough.

Blackjack verdict: assume the same weighting treatment as BetMGM and Borgata, which means the match is not a blackjack instrument. Worth an account for promotional variety rather than for the welcome bonus.

Best for: promotional variety inside the BetMGM family. Party Casino Blackjack Review

15. Horseshoe Online Casino

Regulated Select states

A Caesars-family brand operating in select states, sharing the Caesars Rewards program. Its welcome playthrough has been listed around 10x in Pennsylvania, lower than several competitors but applied to slot-based clearing.

Blackjack verdict: the meaningful benefit is Caesars Rewards accrual across the family. The match itself follows the same slots-only pattern as Caesars Palace.

Best for: Caesars Rewards accrual across the family. Horseshoe Online Casino Blackjack Review
OFFSHORE MARKET

Top 15 offshore casinos: bonus terms for blackjack players

These operators are not licensed by any U.S. state. There is no state regulator to appeal to if a bonus dispute goes against you.

Everything below is drawn from published terms and reviews and should be verified directly before depositing.

1. Bovada

Offshore Blackjack contributes 10 percent

Welcome package of 100 percent up to $1,000 across three deposits for $3,000 total, or 125 percent up to $1,250 across three crypto deposits for $3,750. The playthrough is 25x on deposit plus bonus for the first deposit, with reports of 50x on the second and third, and roughly 180 days to clear. Bovada’s own bonus terms publish the contribution chart: a $500 slots wager contributes $500, a $500 blackjack wager contributes $50, and a $500 roulette wager contributes $25. Bonus funds cannot be used on live dealer games, and neither craps nor live dealer counts toward rollover.

Blackjack verdict: a 25x on deposit plus bonus at 10 percent blackjack contribution is an effective 250x. Take the account for the game selection and the tournament calendar, not for the match.

Best for: game selection and the tournament calendar, not the match. Bovada Blackjack Review Visit Bovada

2. Ignition Casino

Offshore Blackjack 10 percent, single deck 5 percent

A 200 percent package up to $2,000 on card deposits split between casino and poker, or 300 percent up to $3,000 on crypto split as 150 percent casino and 150 percent poker. The casino portion carries 25x on deposit plus bonus with a six-month window. Ignition’s terms state that a $500 slots bet contributes 100 percent, a $500 blackjack bet contributes 10 percent, and live dealer or jackpot game bets contribute nothing. Bonus funds cannot be used on progressive jackpot games. Single-deck blackjack has been reported at 5 percent. The poker portion unlocks through Ignition Miles at $1 per 30 Miles with no additional rollover. Live blackjack tables carry a 777 progressive side bet.

Blackjack verdict: good blackjack lobby with 3:2 naturals and double after split on many tables, but the same 250x effective problem as Bovada. The poker bonus mechanism is more interesting than the casino one.

Best for: a 3:2 lobby and the poker bonus mechanism. Ignition Casino Blackjack Review Visit Ignition Casino

3. Cafe Casino

Offshore Live dealer excluded from the bonus

Sister brand to Ignition and Slots.lv. Advertised at 250 percent up to $1,500 for standard deposits and 350 percent up to $2,500 for crypto, with the multiplier applied to deposit plus bonus. Reported rollover ranges from 25x to 40x depending on the specific offer, with a max bet during playthrough reported at $10. Live dealer games do not qualify for the bonus. The refer-a-friend offer, up to $500, is one of the largest in the offshore market.

Blackjack verdict: table games contribute at reduced rates and live dealer at zero, so the welcome package is a slots instrument. The referral bonus is the standout feature here.

Best for: the refer-a-friend offer, up to $500. Cafe Casino Blackjack Review Visit Cafe Casino

4. Slots.lv

Offshore Max bet is 20 percent of the deposit

Same operating family, and its bonus terms publish the same chart: a $500 slots wager contributes $500 toward playthrough, a $500 blackjack wager contributes $50. Notably, the casino max bet is expressed as a percentage rather than a flat number, set at 20 percent of the deposited amount per wager. Prohibited play is defined to include low margin betting, equal betting, zero risk bets and hedge betting, and the operator reserves the right to review gameplay and disqualify accounts.

Blackjack verdict: the percentage-based max bet is unusual and worth understanding, since a small deposit produces a very small permitted bet. The 10 percent blackjack rate applies as elsewhere in the family.

Best for: players who understand a percentage-based max bet. Slots.lv Blackjack Review Visit Slots.lv

5. Wild Casino

Offshore Separate 80x table games bonus

Standard welcome bonus of 250 percent up to $1,000 on the first deposit with a 35x requirement on deposit plus bonus, and a crypto package running up to $9,000 across five deposits with 45x on the first and 30x on the following four. There is also a wager-free option of 250 free spins, delivered 25 per day, with combined winnings capped at $100. Slots contribute 100 percent, table games and video poker contribute in the 5 percent to 10 percent range, and live casino contributes nothing. Crucially, Wild Casino has run a separate table games welcome bonus of 100 percent up to $1,000 at 80x and a video poker bonus at 60x. Weekly promos include the Tuesday Cash Race paying the top 250 players in real cash with no rollover, plus the Wild Diamond 7s progressive on Visionary iGaming blackjack tables.

Blackjack verdict: one of the few offshore brands with an actual table games bonus and a cash leaderboard that blackjack play qualifies for. The 80x is heavy, but 80x at full contribution beats 35x at 5 percent.

Best for: an actual table games bonus and a cash leaderboard. Wild Casino Blackjack Review Visit Wild Casino

6. Super Slots

Offshore Recurring blackjack tournaments

Sister site to Wild Casino, sharing the same platform and much of the same promotional calendar, including the network Cash Race and the shared tournament network advertising up to 350 free tournament chips, $5 unlimited rebuys and $1 million in monthly tournament prizes. Reload offers have included a Tuesday choice of 25 percent up to $250 or 50 percent up to $250 depending on deposit size, plus a weekly leaderboard contest. No formal loyalty program, which the volume of recurring offers partly offsets.

Blackjack verdict: the strongest offshore option for recurring blackjack tournaments and leaderboards specifically. Reloads carry the same table game weighting problem as the welcome offer.

Best for: recurring blackjack tournaments and leaderboards. Super Slots Blackjack Review Visit Super Slots

7. BetOnline

Offshore 45x rollover in 30 days

Casino welcome bonus of 100 percent up to $3,000 issued across three deposits at $1,000 each, carrying a 45x rollover with 30 days to complete. The sportsbook offer is a separate 50 percent match up to $1,000 at 10x. BetOnline’s bonus rules state that bonuses are for recreational players and that the operator reserves the right to deny or cancel bonuses and any winnings if management determines a player is non-recreational or part of a syndicate, and that using in-game buy-feature mechanics to circumvent rollover may forfeit winnings. No published multi-tier loyalty program.

Blackjack verdict: 45x in 30 days is not clearable at table game weighting under any realistic bet sizing. The discretionary clauses are broad. Play here with cash if you play here at all.

Best for: cash play, not bonus play. BetOnline Blackjack Review Visit BetOnline

8. BetUS

Offshore 14-day bonus expiry

A 200 percent welcome bonus across the first three deposits, with casino bonuses carrying a two-time 30x playthrough on the bonus and released amounts. BetUS publishes its contribution table clearly: slots 100 percent, Draw Hi-Lo and Three Card Rummy 20 percent, American and European blackjack 10 percent, and Red Dog, Pontoon, Pai Gow, Super 7, roulette and War 5 percent. Live dealer games, pontoon, craps, roulette and the daily promotional blackjack and poker tables do not count toward rollover at all. On some platforms, table and card games including blackjack are excluded from bonus use entirely. Casino bonus funds have expired 14 days from credit, bonuses must be claimed on the day of the qualifying deposit, and maximum rollover on the welcome bonus has been capped at $10,000. Betting both sides of an event voids the wagers toward rollover.

Blackjack verdict: the terms are unusually transparent, which is to BetUS’s credit, and they transparently say the bonus is not for you. The 14-day expiry seals it.

Best for: unusually transparent contribution tables. BetUS Blackjack Review Visit BetUS

9. MyBookie

Offshore Rakeback at 1x rollover

A 300 percent casino deposit match up to $2,000 alongside a 100 percent sportsbook match up to $300, with a 25 percent reload up to $500 available by code. Rollover across offers has ranged from 5x to 40x depending on the promotion. The distinguishing feature is MyBookie+, a four-tier loyalty program from Elite through Platinum Elite that provides rakeback on both sportsbook and casino losses from Elite Level 3 onward, with rakeback credit carrying only a 1x rollover. Live dealer lobby includes blackjack with visible table limits and seat counts before you sit.

Blackjack verdict: the 300 percent match is the usual trap, but rakeback at 1x is the most blackjack-relevant ongoing structure among the sportsbook-led offshore brands. Verify how casino losses are calculated for rakeback purposes.

Best for: rakeback credit carrying only 1x rollover. MyBookie Blackjack Review Visit MyBookie

10. Love2Play

Offshore Broad irregular play clause

Formerly BigSpin, relaunched in 2017 and revamped in 2024. The headline package is 350 percent up to $3,000 across the first three deposits, with 40x wagering. Published analysis notes the requirement is to wager the bonus amount 20 times on slots to cash out, and other published terms describe 40 times the bonus plus one time the deposit. There is a no-wagering option of 50 free spins, plus weekly no-playthrough spin offers. The irregular play clause is one of the more specific in the market, defining it to include cutting your wager by 50 percent or more after a win, wagering more than 25 percent of your entire bankroll on a single game, and dramatically changing your playing patterns while a bonus is active. Live dealer blackjack, roulette and baccarat come from Visionary iGaming, plus RNG single-deck tables.

Blackjack verdict: the welcome bonus is slots-directed, and the irregular play language is broad enough that varying bet size at the table could draw a review. The no-wagering spin offers are the safest value here.

Best for: the no-wagering spin offers. Love2Play Blackjack Review

11. CasinoMax

Offshore Michigan is excluded across the network

Part of the Entertainment Software Group network alongside Roaring 21, Cherry Jackpot, Slots Ninja, Spinfinity and SlotsRoom, running on Real Time Gaming software under an Anjouan license. The headline welcome has been advertised at 325 percent up to $9,750 with free spins, and network offers commonly carry 40x playthrough with terms specifying slots only. The network runs an exclusive VIP tier of the welcome bonus on the code VIPBONUS, typically 10 to 35 percentage points above the public offer, entered on the deposit screen rather than at registration. Michigan is excluded across the network.

Blackjack verdict: the marketed package is explicitly slots-only. Look for the smaller table games offers instead, and note the network’s max cashout caps on many promotions.

Best for: the smaller table games offers, not the headline. CasinoMax Blackjack Review Visit CasinoMax

12. Roaring 21

Offshore Separate table games bonus

Same ESG network. The name suggests a blackjack focus and the lobby partly delivers, with roughly 20 table games of which about eight are blackjack variants, running $1 to $100 limits. Rules differ meaningfully between tables: the standard version pays 3:2 on a natural while Super 21 pays only 1:1, offset by 2:1 on certain hands. The bonus structure separates a slots package of up to $10,000 in credits from a distinct table games bonus of up to $1,000, with 40x playthrough on most offers, plus daily reloads and an instant cashback option for players who decline the bonus entirely.

Blackjack verdict: the separate table games bonus and the no-bonus cashback alternative make this one of the more considered offshore setups for a table player. Check each blackjack table’s rules tab before you sit, because the payout on a natural is not consistent across the lobby.

Best for: a table games bonus plus no-bonus instant cashback. Roaring 21 Blackjack Review Visit Roaring 21

13. Cherry Jackpot

Offshore No cashout cap on the welcome bonus

ESG network, operating since 2017 on Real Time Gaming. The standard offer is a 400 percent match up to $4,000 across the first two deposits, with a $35 minimum or $10 for Bitcoin depositors, a 40x wagering requirement applied to deposit plus bonus, and, unusually for this segment, no maximum cashout cap on the welcome bonus. The marketed 400 percent match excludes blackjack. A smaller, less-advertised 100 percent match is the offer blackjack can actually wager toward. Ongoing reloads and daily promotions run alongside.

Blackjack verdict: the absence of a cashout cap is a genuine positive, but you cannot use the headline offer. Ask support directly for the table games version.

Best for: a welcome bonus with no cashout cap. Cherry Jackpot Blackjack Review Visit Cherry Jackpot

14. Slots Ninja

Offshore Cashback carries 40x playthrough

The crypto-first ESG brand on the same Real Time Gaming platform. Headline welcome offers have been advertised at 410 percent up to $9,500, with a 500 percent match available through the cashier for crypto, and 40x on deposit plus bonus. The marketed 350 percent and 410 percent matches exclude blackjack, mirroring Cherry Jackpot, with a smaller 100 percent match as the blackjack-eligible alternative. The site advertises a cashback bonus, but its own terms attach a 40x playthrough to it, which makes it a reload bonus using the cashback label.

Blackjack verdict: the cashback naming is the thing to watch. Real cashback has no playthrough. If it has 40x attached, price it as a reload.

Best for: the smaller 100 percent blackjack-eligible match. Slots Ninja Blackjack Review Visit Slots Ninja

15. Red Dog Casino

Offshore Card games contribute 20 percent

An Anjouan-licensed Real Time Gaming site with a welcome package advertised between 200 percent and 225 percent up to $8,000, carrying 30x to 40x on deposit plus bonus depending on the offer, claimable up to four times. The terms are among the most explicit in the offshore market. Slots, keno and scratch cards contribute 100 percent. Card games, listed as blackjack, multihand video poker, video poker and Tri Card Poker, contribute 20 percent. Maximum bet during the wagering period is $10, and placing a wager above $10 voids all winnings. Playing any game not included in the promotion before completing wagering voids winnings. Maximum payout from a bonus release is 30 times the deposit, so a $100 deposit caps a bonus-funded cashout at $3,000. Codes typically expire 30 days after activation. Comp points convert at $1 per 100 with no wagering attached, and Red Dog runs a dedicated card-games-only bonus.

Blackjack verdict: a 20 percent blackjack rate is double the industry norm and the card-games bonus is a real product. The $10 max bet and the 30x deposit cashout cap are the constraints that decide whether it is worth it.

Best for: a 20 percent blackjack contribution rate. Red Dog Casino Blackjack Review

TABLE RULES

How blackjack rules change the math

The house edge you use in the expected-cost formula is not a constant. It depends on the rules at the specific table.

Rule variableWhat it does to your cost of clearing
Blackjack pays 3:2 versus 6:5The single largest rule variable. A 6:5 payout adds roughly 1.4 percent to the house edge, which nearly triples the cost of clearing turnover at a table you thought was cheap.
Number of decksFewer decks favor the player. Single-deck games carry the lowest edge, which is exactly why they are so often weighted at 5 percent instead of 10 percent.
Dealer stands or hits on soft 17Standing on soft 17 is better for the player by roughly 0.2 percent.
Double after splitPlayer-favorable.
SurrenderLate surrender reduces the edge modestly where offered.
Resplitting acesPlayer-favorable, and uncommon online.

Two different games in one lobby

Roaring 21 is a useful illustration of why this matters. Its standard blackjack table pays 3:2 on a natural while its Super 21 variant pays 1:1, offset by 2:1 on certain hands. Those are materially different games sitting in the same lobby under similar names. Open the rules tab on every table before you play, and especially before you commit to clearing a bonus on one.

WHY PAYOUTS GET DENIED

Common reasons blackjack bonus withdrawals get denied

Eight failure modes, ordered roughly by how often they end a cashout.

01

Exceeding the max bet

The single most frequent cause across the industry.

02

Playing an excluded game or variant

Including live dealer tables and progressive-linked tables.

03

Missing the expiry window

Especially at sites with 7-day or 14-day windows.

04

Requesting a withdrawal mid-rollover

This commonly forfeits the bonus and any winnings tied to it.

05

Betting patterns flagged as irregular

Hedging, equal betting, zero-risk structures and sharp changes in stake size.

06

Duplicate accounts

Most terms limit one bonus per person, household, IP address or shared device.

07

Claiming the bonus late

Several operators, including BetUS, will not issue a bonus retroactively.

08

Unfinished identity verification

Not a denial so much as an indefinite delay.

At a state-regulated casino, a dispute you cannot resolve with the operator can be escalated to the state gaming regulator. At an offshore casino, the operator’s own complaints process is generally the end of the line.

PAPERWORK

Record keeping and taxes

Bonus credit is not income. What converts to cash is, and blackjack shifts the record-keeping burden onto you.

Bonus funds are not income while they remain non-withdrawable bonus credit. What matters for tax purposes is what converts to cash and what you win. Gambling winnings are reportable, and losses can generally only be deducted against winnings if you itemize.

Table games including blackjack do not generate a W-2G at the same thresholds that apply to slots and certain other games, which puts more of the record-keeping burden on the player. Keep a session log with date, site, table, buy-in, cash-out and the net result. If you play across multiple sites, keep one combined log. Consult a tax professional for your own situation.

BEFORE YOU CLAIM

Responsible gambling

A wagering requirement is an instruction to play more than you otherwise would. Treat it as one.

Bonuses are marketing

Their purpose is to increase the amount you deposit and the amount you wager, and the wagering requirement is the mechanism that does it. A 40x rollover is an instruction to play 40 times more than you otherwise would.

Set a deposit limit and a loss limit before you claim anything. Most regulated sites provide deposit, loss, wager and time limit tools in the account settings, along with cool-off periods and self-exclusion. Every legal iGaming state operates a self-exclusion program, and enrollment applies across licensed operators in that state.

If gambling has stopped being recreational, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit the National Council on Problem Gambling. Help is available 24 hours a day.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The nine questions blackjack players ask most about casino bonus terms.

Does blackjack count toward wagering requirements?

Usually at a reduced rate. The most common figure at U.S.-facing sites is 10 percent, with 5 percent for single-deck and other low-edge variants and 20 percent at a minority of operators. Live dealer blackjack contributes 0 percent at many sites. Some bonuses exclude blackjack entirely.

What is the best online blackjack bonus?

Structurally, a loss rebate or genuine cashback with 1x or no playthrough, because contribution rates never enter the calculation. Among regulated brands, FanDuel’s Play It Again and BetRivers’ first-day refund are the clearest examples. Among offshore brands, a dedicated table games or card games bonus is the closest equivalent.

Can I withdraw a blackjack bonus without wagering it?

No. Bonus credit converts to withdrawable cash only after the playthrough is met, and requesting a withdrawal before that usually forfeits the bonus and its winnings.

Do live dealer blackjack bets count toward a bonus?

Frequently not. Bovada, Ignition and BetUS all exclude live dealer from rollover, and Bovada does not permit bonus funds on live dealer tables at all. Check the specific terms every time.

Are there no-wagering blackjack bonuses?

Yes, though they are rare and usually small. Cashback with no playthrough, cash leaderboard prizes paid without rollover, and comp point conversions are the main examples. Bally has promoted a 0x playthrough structure in Pennsylvania.

Do blackjack side bets contribute to rollover?

It varies. Some sites count them at the base blackjack rate, some exclude them, and progressive-linked tables are often excluded from bonus play entirely because bonus funds cannot be used on jackpot games.

Is card counting allowed with a bonus?

Counting does not work against RNG blackjack, which reshuffles each hand, and is impractical in most online live dealer formats. Separately, operators reserve the right to restrict accounts they classify as non-recreational, and several bonus terms say so explicitly.

What happens if my bonus expires before I finish the rollover?

The remaining bonus funds are removed, and at most sites any winnings attributable to the bonus are removed with them.

Should I take a bonus if I only play blackjack?

Often no. If the effective requirement is above roughly 200x the bonus, decline it, keep your deposit fully withdrawable and collect value from cashback, loyalty points, leaderboards and tournaments instead.

How this page is maintained

What we check, how often it moves and why you should still open the cashier yourself.

Bonus terms are verified against operator promotions pages and published terms and conditions documents. Offers change frequently, vary by state and by deposit method, and can be withdrawn without notice. Contribution rates in particular are updated by operators without announcement.
